Enterprise-Ozark
Community College has been authorized by the State Board of Education
to offer Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit
Classes for high school students cooperatively with local boards
of education in
the college's service area. These classes may be offered on the high school
campus, or the student may travel to classes at any EOCC location.
The following are the requirements for enrolling
in
Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Classes:
- The student must complete an EOCC Admissions Application.
- The student must have a "B" average on completed high school
courses.
- The student must be in grade 10, 11, or 12.
- The student must have the written approval of the high school
principal
or counselor.
- The student may only enroll in classes for which all prerequisites
have
been met.
- The student must comply with the College's Placement Policy
which states that students who have earned a minimum score of
20 on the ACT English test and 20 on the ACT Math test may enroll
in college level classes. Students who have not taken ACT
or who do not have those scores must take a placement test and
make the minimum scores required.
Other Important Information:
- Students must pay tuition and fees and purchase necessary textbooks.
- No Federal Financial Aid or scholarships are available.
- Students may only enroll in college level classes.
- High School credit may be awarded by the local board of education. In
that case, 6 semester hours are the equivalent of 1 Carnegie Unit.
- The Admissions Application and other required documentation should
be sent to the Admissions Office at the location where the student
intends to enroll
