Certified by the Federal Aviation Administration, EOCC’s Aviation Program offers the only comprehensive aviation maintenance training program in the state of Alabama, with instruction in airframe & powerplant (A&P) and avionics.

The Avionics Technology program begins with a broad-based approach to the study of electronics to prepare students with a basic knowledge of electronic theory and a working knowledge of electronics equipment and components. Beyond initial instruction in those areas, students receive extensive hands-on training with aviation electronics equipment such as communication and navigation radios, weather radars, autopilots, on-board computers, transponders, and more.

To extend service to the aviation industry throughout Alabama, the Enterprise-Ozark Community College maintains an Aviation Campus in Ozark and an Aviation Center in Mobile to offer instructional programs in Airframe Technology, Powerplant Technology, and General Aviation Technology. The Aviation Division provides students with the opportunity to prepare for entry into the aviation maintenance field and for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) examinations, which are fundamental to employment in the field.
