Sam Covington
Mr.
Covington is in his seventh year of teaching at Enterprise-Ozark Community
College. His primary teaching field is Western
Civilization,
but
he occasionally teaches U.S. history and American National Government.
Before coming to Enterprise-Ozark Community College, Mr. Covington
taught Social Studies and
English at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Tuskegee, Alabama
and worked with a governmental affairs firm in Montgomery, Alabama.
Mr. Covington
earned a B.A. degree (1987) and a M.A. degree (1992) from Auburn University.
His primary interest in the field of history is politics and government,
but he is also interested in intellectual and religious history.
Mr. Covington is a native of Dale County, and attended Carroll
High School in Ozark, Alabama so he is familiar with the wiregrass area.
He and his wife Amy live in Enterprise. They have a beautiful daughter
named Ellie. They also have a cat that his wife loves to spoil. Mr. Covington
likes to travel
and enjoys all kinds of spectator and participant sports.
Courses Taught: Western Civilization I and II, and occasionally
American National Government and U.S. History I
