Welcome to the Guidance Services Department’s Fort Rucker Office. Our role is to assist students in establishing educational goals, providing course advice, course articulation and credit transfer information, exploring credit-by-examination alternatives, and providing testing/testing referral. Mr. Russell Davenport, the Fort Rucker guidance counselor, is available Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 -2:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to visit the Fort Rucker site counseling office to discuss enrollment and program plans and may make individual appointments by calling (334) 598-3438, ext. 4223. Students may also email us with questions or comments.
Enterprise State Community College is part of the Alabama Articulation Program (also called STARS - Statewide Articulation Reporting System), which ensures credit transfer between Alabama two-year colleges and public four-year institutions. Guidance Services can create a transfer agreement to help provide students with accurate direction and information concerning the transition from one institution to another.
As a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Army Degree program (SOCAD), Enterprise State Community College is part of a network of colleges in which each institution accepts credit from all others, guaranteeing that Army students and their adult family members can continue toward completion of their degrees amidst military-related relocations. In addition, the College may award credit for military-related experiences and educational achievements. Military and veterans should request for an official transcript through the Army American Registry Transcript System (AARTS) to be sent to the College for evaluation.
A practical option for some students is to explore credit-by-examination compared to traditional class enrollment. Interested students are encouraged to visit the College’s guidance services for more information on College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST), and Excelsior College Exam (ECE) programs.
Guidance Services administers the COMPASS placement test for all beginning freshmen to ensure that they demonstrate the basic skills required to succeed in college coursework. Individual appointments may be made by calling the Fort Rucker site at (334) 598-3438. |
