Mrs. DaNean Pound received her A.A. degree from Enterprise-Ozark Community College (then ESJC) in 2001, her B.S. degree in English from Troy University (then TSU) in 2003, and her M.A. degree in Folklife/Southern Literature from Northwestern State University (still NSU!)in 2005.
She thouroughly enjoys American Literature and has a particular interest in African American Literature, especially the ex-slave narratives compiled during the Great Depression. She also enjoys the Southern Literature of William Faulkner, Samuel Clemens, Katherine Anne Porter, Harper Lee, Flannery O'Connor, and Charles W. Chesnutt.
