GRADING SCALE
A: 90-100 B: 80-89 C: 70-79 D: 60-69  F: Below 60

Note: Please remember that most colleges or universities will not accept a grade of D or below for transfer credit.

Please realize that this course is delivered online and will require considerable discipline from you. You will have to be very dedicated and will need to stay on schedule and will need to spend lots of time with the book and course materials. For the successful completion of this course you must have internet access. The school has computers for your use in the SAS lab, in the library, and in various labs around campus. If you have internet access at home you will be able to work at any time available to you. Please check your e-mail every day or every other day. This is the method I will use when getting in contact with you, sending out important messages, and testing reminders. In the case of bad weather and the college is closed or the computer system is down I will notify you as soon as I know but you may not be able to access the course while the computers are down.

TESTING AND GRADING PROCEDURES
Your grade will be based on your total work in this course. For each section that has been assigned to you, there will be a textbook section listed and a homework assignment for you to complete. These problems are for your practice and I will not be taking them up for a grade. You will need to work through them to be successful in the course. There will be eight tests given throughout the semester which are each worth 100 points and a comprehensive final exam worth 100 points. If you have maintained an A average throughout the entire course you will be excused from the comprehensive final. Please note that you will be given three days to take each test and the date by which the test must be completed will be listed on the course outline. These dates are very specific and will be adhered to throughout the course.

Tests must be done in pencil (they are very hard to grade if they have been scribbled on)! If you do not use a pencil, then 10 points will be deducted from your grade. You may NOT use calculators on any of the tests. There should not be any reason for you to miss a test as you will have three days to complete the test. Therefore, NO make-up tests will be given in this course.

All tests must be taken in a monitored environment on a school campus. Please note that the testing center on the EOCC Enterprise Campus will only allow you to take a pencil to your seat. You must also show a photo ID to receive your test. The testing center on the Enterprise campus is in the SAS lab. The hours for testing are from 1:30 – 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 – 12:00 on Friday. If these testing times are not suitable for your schedule please notify me immediately and other arrangements will be made.

If you are planning to test on the Fort Rucker, Ozark, or Mobile campuses, please contact someone on the campus and inquire about their testing hours and procedures. Some of the test proctors prefer you to make an appointment to take your test. Please let me know in advance which site you intend to be tested so I will make sure your test is there waiting for you. If you will be changing testing sites for any reason you will need to contact me immediately so I will have your test in the correct place for you. If you are not able to come to one of the four campuses of EOCC you will have to make arrangements for a test proctor and there are certain requirements for proctors. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this. Please note that you will need to begin your test approximately 1 ½ or 2 hours before each testing site closes to ensure that you have enough time to complete your test.

CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! THE CONSEQUENCES OF SUCH ACTIONS INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO) A GRADE OF ZERO AND REFERRAL TO THE DEAN OF INSTRUCTION (WHO MAY IMPOSE FURTHER PENALTIES)!

You may obtain your final course grade through Enstar or from the EOCC website.
