Ms. Whitehead graduated from high school in Enterprise, Alabama in 1994. She received an Associate in Science and an Associate in Arts Degree from Enterprise State Junior College in 1996. She transferred to Troy State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Comprehensive Mathematics Education in 1998. She then returned to Troy State and received a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education in 1999.
Ms. Whitehead always knew that she wanted to be a teacher and her lifetime career goal was to teach at Enterprise State Junior College. She decided on the field of mathematics in the seventh grade, which did not surprise any of her family. She comes from a long line of teachers and she marks the fourth generation to teach mathematics.
She began her teaching career as a graduate teaching assistant at Troy State University. After completing her degree, she began teaching full time for the mathematics department at Troy State before coming to Enterprise State Junior College in the fall of 2000. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Maddie. She enjoys cooking, baking, crocheting, and cross-stitching.
