Hello, everyone the fall semester is coming to an end and final exams are here. I hope that everyone succeeds on their final exams this semester!!
I am so glad that Alabama defeated Florida 32-13 in the SEC championship game. Alabama will now face the University of Texas for the national championship in January.
Phi Theta Kappa and NSLS are sponsoring a canned food drive until the end of the semester. Please donate for a great cause.
PTK and FIT members please if you can wrap gifts on December 14 and 15 please see me as soon as possible.
There will be a FIT meeting Wednesday December 16 at break in the Wallace Building.
The National Society of Leadership and Success will hold its fall induction ceremony on December 10 at 3pm in the gym. Congratulations to all the new members on their achievements. If you would like to be a part of this great organization, please speak to President Lauren Priest, Mr. Scott, Mrs. Peters, me, any other executive board member for more information.

Hey everyone, the end of the fall semester is fast approaching meaning finals are coming soon. I cannot wait until the SEC championship game between #1 Florida and #2 Alabama in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday December 5. The winner of this game in my eyes will produce the eventual national champion and the Heisman winner. Thanks to Dr. Johnson and Ms. Turner on giving their 10 min speech on the PTK Honors Topic: The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences. The National Student Leadership Socieity next speaker event will be on Wednesday December 2 and Thursday December 3. The speaker will be Jim Kouzes. Your first opportunity to view it will be a 2pm on Wednesday. Your second and third opportunities will be a 2pm and then 6pm on Thursday. Phi Theta Kappa and the First Impressions Team will need to meet at 10:15 in Sessions 100 on Wednesday December 2. All members will need to attend this important meeting. If anyone is interested in volunteering in wrapping gifts at the Coffee County Department of Human Resources please attend this meeting to get more information. Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing great in their classes!!
PTK week will be from Nov 16-19. We will be participating in different activities during the break. I would like to thank Mrs. Campbell on give her speech on the Paradox of Affluence!! Our next speakers will be Ms. Turner and Dr. Johnson on November 18 and 19.
The National Society of Leadership and Success speaker events will take place in the multipurpose room on the Enterprise Campus. Alexis Jones is the speaker for the November 18 and 19 viewings. Members will need to come to one of the three available viewings. The first opportunity will be on November 18 at 2pm. The second and third opportunities will be on November 19 at 2pm and 6pm.
PTK and NSLS will be holding a can food drive until November 20. Boxes are in the Student Center and the Wallace Building. Please help others who are in need!!!
ESCC individual students, clubs, and organizations are welcomed to participate in the 2009 Campus-Wide Christmas Project for the Coffee County Department of Human Resources. Cash donations can be turned in to either Mrs. Beverly in the Registrar's Office, Mrs. Laura in Admissions, and Mrs. Stephanie in Financial Aid by November 19. Anyone can also sign up for gift wrapping that will take place in December. Volunteers are needed at the Department of Human Resources. PTK members will need to speak with me as soon as possible concerning gift wrapping presents in December!

Hey everyone, I hope you are doing great in your classes!! College football, the Yankees in the World Series, and basketball season kicking off is exciting.
I would like to welcome our new Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Jeffrey Coats, to Enterprise Ozark Community College. I hope that you enjoy ESCC as much as I have and wish you the best!!
Online priority registration for spring semester 2010 begins on November 6. Regular priority registration for spring semester 2010 is November 9-11. To register during the priority registration, a person must have 30 credit hours or more to register during this time period. Registration open to all students will be November 12.
The PTK Lecture Series will be every Tuesday at 10:15 at the library courtyard. Mrs. Campbell, from Student Support Services, will give her 10 minute speech on the Paradox of Affluence on November 3.Come out and listen to our instructors on what they think about the PTK Honors Topic for 2008-2010: The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, Consequences. The National Society of Leadership and Success will hold a makeup orientation on November 6 at 8 am in Sessions 100 on the Enterprise campus.
Leadership Training Day will be held from 9am until 12 pm on November 6. Please remember in order to be inducted into this organization; you must attend a Leadership Training Day, 1 orientation, and 3 speaker events!!
Career Fair will be on Thursday November 5 from 9 am until 11 am in Lolley Gymnasium. It is open to the public. Many different representatives from different companies will be there, so anyone can ask questions about their careers and give you a glimpse inside their professions.

What's up everyone, I hope you are doing great in your classes.
The Alabama vs. Tennessee game had me on edge the entire time. Being an Alabama fan, I was so glad the game winning field goal was blocked.
Founders' Day was a huge success!! I had fun sumo wrestling Mr. Scott and Cody Rainwater.
I would like to thank Dr. Chandler for attending our Phi Theta Kappa induction ceremony and Mr. Showers for going first in our Lecture Series on the Paradox of Affluence.
PTK and NSLS will be hosting a Movie Night on October 29. It is open to the public so invite everyone you know. It will be from 7pm until 11pm. We will be showing a Scooby Doo movie and then Sleepy Hollow. Drinks and food will be available to be purchased. It will be on the quad on Enterprise campus or in case of rain in the multipurpose room.

Hey, everyone hope that you are succeeding in all of your classes.
Levi Crawford. Lauren Priest. Sabrina Crabtree, Ms. Jones and I attended the Phi Theta Kappa Fall Leadership Conference in Columbiana, Alabama on October 9-10. We had fun and even won the spirit stick for our chapter for having the most spirit at the conference. Levi's version of "The First Prince of Bel Air" theme song won it for us. We will hold the spirit stick until next March at the Regional Convention in Gulf shores, Alabama. Thank you to all the PTK members who helped served at the different events.
Second mini-term at ESCC begins October 15.
Phi Theta Kappa will hold its fall induction ceremony on October 20 in the Multipurpose Room at 5pm. Congratulations to all the members who accepted invitation to this prestigious organization!!! Please bring your family and friends for this special occasion.

The National Society of Leadership and Success will hold orientation on Wednesday Oct 21 and Thursday Oct. 22 at 2:00. Make sure that if you registered to be at one of these orientation meetings. Thank you for everyone who donated money for breast cancer awareness on October 1.

What's up everyone, classes are in full gear as this is the point in the semester where test after test comes. Do not panic you will make it through. Thanks to everyone who helped out at the Chamber Banquet, it was fun and we had a blast. Mentors remember that you will need to attend the Healthy Woman Expo banquet on October 1. See Mrs. Terri Parker if you cannot make it to this event. It will be held at the Enterprise Civic Center. PTK members if you can help out see me as soon as possible.
If you are interested in joining the First Impressions Team, go by Mrs. Janet Daniels desk in the Student Center to pick up an application. The deadline to turn in the application is October 6 at 4pm. If you have any questions, see me or any FIT member.
The National Society of Leadership and Success will hold a denim day on October 1. Please wear your blue jeans and donate any money you can to help raise breast cancer awareness. See Mrs. Peters, Mr. Scott, or any officer to donate your money. There will be cans set up around campus to donate your money. Please help us as we try to stop one of the most deadly cancers to women.

Hello everyone, many things have happened since the beginning of the semester. Club Day on September 9 was great for people who want to become more active in their school and make lifelong friends. Phi Theta Kappa along with the National Society of Leadership and Success held a campus clean up day on September 10. These two great organizations have many opportunities for a person to grow as an individual. Become more active and college won't be so bad. Our advisor Ms. Jones and all the Phi Theta Kappa officers went to the district meeting on September 11 in Greenville, Alabama to learn to better understand what Phi Theta Kappa is all about.
We will hold a bake sale on September 15 at break to help raise money for our chapter. Come out and enjoy all the good food at break!! PTK will also hold a meeting at break on Wednesday September 16 at 10:20 in Sessions 100. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me at ptkpres@ESCC.edu and I will reply back. Hey everyone, summer semester is over and fall semester is arriving. The summer semester was exciting and interesting, but fall semester brings in new challenges and adventures. Full term and internet courses begin Friday August 21 and First mini term classes begin Monday August 24. Remember to sign up for your classes as soon as possible. Hello everyone, I hope your classes have started off great. All the Phi Theta Kappa officers on the Enterprise Campus worked hard on June 12 with our advisor Ms. Jones and have our year planned out for the upcoming year. This year of PTK will be action-packed and hope that all members and ESCC students will participate in our activities. For more information about PTK, log on to ptk.org and browse through the website. PTK will also have a board for information in Talmadge Hall on the Enterprise campus to showcase the chapter at our institution.
ESCC has opened the SAS lab where students can do academic work. The SAS lab is now in located near the library and the hours are posted on the outside of the library. If you need a tutor for a class, apply for Student Support Services at 334-347-2623 ext. 2265.

Hello and welcome to ESCC. My name is Shaquille Marsh and I will be serving as the 2009-2010 Tau Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa President for this upcoming school year. I would personally like to welcome you to Enterprise State Community College and hope that you have a great experience attending this great institution. As president of PTK, the honor society for two year institutions, I am so glad you started at ESCC. In addition to the low cost of $90 per credit hour, the class sizes are also small. All the teachers at ESCC want to see all their students succeed and grow as a person as well.
My officer team and I will be working hard this summer with our advisor, Ms. Jones, to make this year of PTK the best in years. The PTK officer team will be working on June 12 to prepare for the upcoming year for this great organization. Anyone who wants to join PTK come to the meetings starting this fall.
PTK is only one of the many clubs a person can get involved in at ESCC. SGA, Mentors, and the First Impressions Team are just a few clubs for you to think about. Some of the clubs offer SCHOLARSHIPS!!! I am a member of several clubs at ESCC and the experiences and opportunities are incredible.
Like many students I do have my troubles in school. At ESCC, tutoring is available through a program called Student Support Services. Student Support Services offers FREE tutoring and other services to students. All you have to do is fill out an application in Student Center or contact them at 334-347-2623 ext.2265.
If you have any questions concerning anything contact me at ptkpres@ESCC.edu and leave any comments or questions you might have. I can be found most of the time on the Enterprise Campus in the Student Center and library, so if you see me, feel free to ask me any questions. Once again I hope you succeed at ESCC!!!!
