June 2, 2009

Hello and welcome to ESCC.  My name is Shaquille Marsh and I will be serving as the 2009-2010 Tau Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa President for this upcoming school year. I would personally like to welcome you to Enterprise State Community College and hope that you have a great experience attending this great institution. As president of PTK, the honor society for two year institutions, I am so glad you started at ESCC. In addition to the low cost of $90 per credit hour, the class sizes are also small. All the teachers at ESCC want to see all their students succeed and grow as a person as well.

My officer team and I will be working hard this summer with our advisor, Ms. Jones, to make this year of PTK the best in years. The PTK officer team will be working on June 12 to prepare for the upcoming year for this great organization. Anyone who wants to join PTK come to the meetings starting this fall.

PTK is only one of the many clubs a person can get involved in at ESCC. SGA, Mentors, and the First Impressions Team are just a few clubs for you to think about. Some of the clubs offer SCHOLARSHIPS!!! I am a member of several clubs at ESCC and the experiences and opportunities are incredible.

Like many students I do have my troubles in school. At ESCC, tutoring is available through a program called Student Support Services. Student Support Services offers FREE tutoring and other services to students. All you have to do is fill out an application in Student Center or contact them at 334-347-2623 ext.2265.

If you have any questions concerning anything contact me at ptkpres@ESCC.edu and leave any comments or questions you might have. I can be found most of the time on the Enterprise Campus in the Student Center and library, so if you see me, feel free to ask me any questions. Once again I hope you succeed at ESCC!!!!
